StressTyp2 is a typological database containing information on stress and accent patterns in over 750 of the world's languages with nearly every language family represented.


To get started, you can Browse the languages, lects or patterns from the menu above. If you are interested in specific lects or patterns, use one of the Search menus. For in-depth research projects, we recommend you use one of the archived versions of StressTyp2. Archives can be downloaded from the archives page.

StressTyp2 is maintained by Rob Goedemans (Leiden University), Jeffrey Heinz (University of Delaware), and Harry van der Hulst (University of Connecticut) and is supported by a grant from the United States National Science Foundation.
