In words with 4 or more syllables, secondary stress occurs on iteratively on odd numbered syllables, counting from the left. Secondary stress falls on the penultimate syllable, and does not fall on the antepenultimate syllable.

18: Stress monosyllables. Polysyllables have stress on alternating syllables, depending on word class. Primary stress is always penultimate, but in nouns secondary stress is assigned to all alternate syllables before the main stress (no adjacent stresses allowed), and in verbs, secondary stress is assigned to the first syllable and all alternates thereafter, but not the syllable abutting the main stress.
