In words of three or more syllables, primary stress falls on the final syllable if it is superheavy, else on the penultimate syllable if it is superheavy, else on the penultimate syllable if it is heavy, else on the antepenultimate syllable, if it has secondary stress, else on the preantepenultimate syllable, if it has secondary stress. In words of two or fewer syllables, primary stress falls on the final syllable if it is superheavy, else on the initial syllable. In words of all sizes, secondary stress falls on all heavy syllables which are located to the left of the main stress. In sequences of light syllables which are located to the left of the main stress, secondary stress falls on the odd numbered syllables, counting from the left edge of the sequence.
